Under Heroes is a simple tapping game with 2D pixel art. The game is developed by Nsouls and is available for free in the Google Play Store with In-app purchases.

Digg to collect Gold, treasure boxes and hearts. Use the Gold to increase your strength and stamina. This will help you to dig deeper. The hearts can be used to increase your gold storage or get a pet. The pets are a new addition to the game. Three different pets are available and each pet will help you with the digging in a different way.

Complete a level to build a famous Landmark in the region for a beautiful princess. There are 11 levels currently which mean 11 landmarks for you to build. More levels will be added in the future updates. Use the world map to view the landmarks you have built.

The game is simple but addictive. I couldn't stop playing until I finish all the levels.

Great day Readers. To give more insights into the game development, David Kim, the CEO of Nsouls responded with the answers. Here are the Q&A exclusively to our readers.

1. Tell us about the team?
Hello, we are Nsouls, an indie game developer comprised of 5 persons in Seoul, South Korea. We make soft and light-core games, that give you a different experience compared to big-budget, major studio games.

We are an engineer-centric team and we started our journey by building Mobile Applications. But we found out that we were more drawn to Mobile Game Development. We fully changed our focus to developing mobile games in 2012.

We released about 7~8 games in Android and iOS since then. Spaceship V is our best-received game with more than 100 thousand downloads, and we hope to recreate its success with our future games.

Motto of the studio is this: Fun Game-making process leads to a fun game. We try not to be easily swayed by ups & downs of the tubulent mobile game market. Rather we try to focus on and enjoy our game making process.

We believe this kind of attitude is a core ingredient of a fun game.

2. What was your inspiration that leads to the creation of this game?
A casual, light-core and soft game was what we aimed for.

Everybody likes tapping on the screen, and everybody likes cute pixel art, so we thought this is a perfect recipe for a casual game with broad appeal.

It was great to see our friends, families and our fans share our idea of fun through playing Under Heroes.

3. What was the biggest challenge faced while developing this game?
Probably because we are an engineer-centric team, we didn't have many technical issues.

But Designing the Game and deciding on a solid Business Model was not that easy.

Monetization directly leads to income of our studio members. Even if our aim is to create soft and light-core games, a minimum needs to be met to keep working towards the goal.

Fortunately for us, the mobile app market is getting bigger. We also studied hard to improve our Business Model such that both developers and users can benefit from it.

4. What features can be expected in the upcoming updates?
Since Under Heroes has been published, we kept updating the contents, adding more stages & landmarks. Recently, we added a Pet System for a refreshing fun. We had great responses until now, but we will have to wait.

These days, we are concentrated on developing 'Under Heroes 2', a sequel to Under Heroes. With Under Heroes 2, we are expanding on the simple clicker concept of Under Heroes with lots of RPG elements, Skills, and Visual Effects.

We put a lot of effort and time into Under Heroes 2, so we are hoping for a success.

The title of the sequel hasn't been fully decided yet, but it's in its last stages of development. We plan to release the sequel in this Spring.

5. Is there anything else you want to tell our readers?
As a small indie game studio, it's hard to have frequent updates or get huge revenue in short time.

But we believe we have our unique flexibility and feel compared to huge publishers or studios.

We are always pondering about how to make a great game. We are also always trying out new ways to build a better game. It would be great if you enjoy our games & look forward to Under Heroes 2 and other games that will be released shortly.
